Norris Landing
Tazewell, Tennesse
Norris Landing Marina is located down the scenic Norris River in Tazewell, Tennessee. The town and surrounding area is very small and quiet, but that makes the marina the perfect destination for some much needed rest and relaxation. The covered docks reside in a private channel of the river, giving boaters calm waters to tie up and have some fun. Head to the onsite restaurant, Jimmy’s Place, for a quick bite or drinks with friends. If you want to enjoy your meal alongside your boat, the picnic area with grills is the perfect place to watch the sunset.
The marina has just about every amenity you can think of, but possibly the most important of all…the marina is pet friendly. At least we think so! There are also kayak/paddle-board rentals, provisions, lodging on-site, full service maintenance, and so much more. Though the fact that you can bring your dog may be the best news yet.
McDaniel Yacht Basin
North East, Maryland
This month, we have added two great marinas in beautiful North East, Maryland. McDaniel Yacht Basin is located along the North East River on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, and it is…huge! The grounds and docks encompass 20 acres with 200 protected wet-slips. The marina has a full-service maintenance yard, ship store, pump-out, fuel and more! With a pool and restaurant on-site, why would you ever want to leave?
Perhaps you are interested in visiting the awesome nature reserves in the area. If so, Elk Neck State Park and North East Community Park offer some of the most beautiful views of Chesapeake estuaries you could find. Head into downtown North East for shops, restaurants, hotels and possibly anything you can think of. What are you waiting for?
Shelter Cove Yacht Basin
North East, Maryland
Shelter Cove Yacht Basin is the second marina of the month to join our family in North East, Maryland. This sheltered cove is nearly as big as McDaniel, with 17 acres and 150 wet slips. Shelter Cove is a great home-base marina with a travel life, winter storage, boat service, and just about everything to keep your vessel safe and secure in the off season.
The Marina is notoriously close to Elk Neck State Park, Turkey Point Lighthouse and some of the best coastlines to serve up some stunning visuals. In the Spring, you may even be lucky enough to see baby herons! North East, Maryland is a must visit.
Norview Marina
Deltaville, Virginia
Norview Marina is the largest full-service marina in Deltaville, VA on the protected waters of Broad Creek. If you find yourself in the area during the summer, this marina is the perfect destination to stop and cool down. The marina pool is exactly what you need to wipe off the doldrums and heat waves. The sandy beach is also perfect for those missing the salt water. With full-service maintenance options, covered slips, a fully stocked ship store and more, the world is your oyster!
If you get bored of lounging around on the beach or by the pool (though we doubt you will) head to the Deltaville Maritime Museum & Holly Point Nature Park to explore the rich history of the town and for fun events! Downtown Deltaville is also home to great shops and restaurants to make your trip the best yet!
Nugent Marina
Deale, Maryland
Nugent Marina is the perfect destination for those cruising the Chesapeake Bay. Deale, Maryland is right around the half-way point along the cruise – a stop just before reaching the notable Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Luckily, you get to skip the traffic and catch the views from under the bridge instead.
Not only does this marina have great amenities such as showers, WiFi, and a scenic picnic area, but also boasts paddleboard/kayak rentals, charters on-site, and boat rentals! We encourage boaters to grab a bite at the marinas on-site restaurant, though if you’re looking for adventure, head into downtown Annapolis for a night in the capital of Maryland!
Algonac Harbour Club
Algonac, Michigan
Algonac Harbour Club is our newest addition to the Great Lakes family! The docks are just off of Anchor Bay in Lake St. Clair. While you’re tied up at the marina, rest and relax by the pool, head to the basketball courts, or challenge your family and friends to a game of beach volleyball. We won’t blame you if your competitive side comes out while you’re having fun! There are a ton of great amenities to make you feel right at home such as boat service, fitness center, lounge and more. You can grill your dinner up in the picnic area or hit the on-site restaurant Port O Call.
Algonac, Michigan is full of awesome shops, restaurants, and events. Spend some time visiting the Algonac Clay Historical Museum or the Garfield Arthur Wood Memorial. One thing is for sure, Michigan is next up on our destination list!
